Grand Final Weekend is upon us and the Browns have three senior men’s teams still standing. The A’s, C’s and LOA’s will all do battle this weekend in what shapes as an exciting couple of days of cricket.
The A’s take on West Torrens who are seeking to win the T20, one day and two day treble. The teams had a tense clash earlier in the season with the Browns getting knocked over for 168 batting first and the Eagles scraping over the line 8 wickets down.
A Grade vs West Torrens at Woodville Oval, Sat Mar 25 and Sun Mar 26, 11:00am start
Team – Liam Scanlon, James Seward (wk), Jake Brown (c), Alex Ross, Simon Schwerdt, Hugh Cranendonk, Eddie Steele, Elliot Opie, Cameron Fatchen, Scott Aufderheide and Lloyd Pope
The Bradman Medal function was held during the week and Jake Brown finished 5th in the voting while John Dalton came in 7th. John was also selected in the Grade Team of the Year.
The C’s take on Adelaide Uni at the beautiful University Oval. The two teams fought out a see-sawing encounter a few weeks ago. Kensington was skittled for 98 batting first but followed up by rolling the Blacks for 63 to pull off a remarkable win and seal a finals berth. More drama was to follow in the 2nd dig with the Browns dismissed cheaply again and Uni finishing outright winners.
