Day 1, Not a lot to speak about in what was a tough day for the D’s, despite starting a couple of fielders short our early bowlers restricted the runs well. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a breakthrough. Glenelg were 0/100 after 40 overs at Tea.
From there, their batsmen accelerated and played very well to lift the scoring rate. Eventually, Ingram broke through to break the opening stand after more than 60 overs. The scoring continued despite some strong efforts with the ball. Liam Greber got his first senior wicket after bowling well all day, whilst Hunkin also claimed a late one. The damage was already done though, and Glenelg finished the day 3 wickets down, with a score in excess of 370. It leaves a tough chase for the boys next week.
